SFM21M Glassfiber Reinforced Gypsum

Fiberglass reinforced gypsum is a composite material made of gypsum, water, and glass fibers that can be used as a lightweight, durable, and economical alternative to gypsum. It is non-flammable, impact resistant, and can be molded into a variety of shapes and sizes. It is also smoother and more durable than traditional gypsum.

It is often used in architectural applications such as ceilings, domes, column covers, decorative wall panels, and lighting coves. It can also be used to recreate historic interiors in hotels, restaurants, and period homes. Fiberglass reinforced gypsum is usually field finished with interior paint, and the joints can be secured with tape. It should be primed with a primer recommended for gypsum board or gypsum plaster.
